Popsicles are always a great after dinner option at house Macheesmo. We seem to have unending boxes of them in our freezer, either that we bought or that other families brought to our house for summer hangouts. I don’t mind the sugar in popsicles – it’s kind of a rite of summer in my opinion, but I did want to challenge myself a bit to see if I could come up with a delicious popsicle without the added sugar.
I ended up with a fruit and yogurt popsicle that I call confetti popsicles! The kids like them I think because it reminds them of sprinkles. I ended up added some honey to the popsicles for a little extra sweetness, but kept all the sweeteners natural.
Of course, there’s no reason why you have to go through the extra work of dividing the layers like I did, I just like the visual look of it. By all means blend all the ingredients together in one beige popsicle if that’s your style. It’ll taste great!
I love having these fruit confetti popsicles in the fridge now. They are the ultimate dessert fake out.
These easy and delicious fruit popsicles are yogurt based and have only natural sweeteners. You can feel good about giving them to your kiddos to beat the heat this summer!
- In a food processor, combine about 3/4 cup of Greek yogurt with strawberries and 1 tablespoon honey. Blend until smooth and set aside.
- In food processor, combine 3/4 cup Greek yogurt with kiwi, mint, and 1 tablespoon honey. Blend until smooth.
- Repeat blending with last of the yogurt, blueberries and 2 tablespoons honey.
- Layer fillings in popsicle mold. I prefer strawberry first, then kiwi, then blueberry last.
- Insert popsicle sticks and freeze solid.
- Popsicles will keep fine in the fridge for a month or so but then they might get freezer burned or start picking up off flavors.

Like I said, I wanted to make layers in mine so blueberry was my first layer. Note that my first try at these (when I took the photos) I for some reason put all the honey in the blueberry layer and zero honey in the other layers. Don’t do this. Divide it up between the layers obviously.
The kiwi and mint layer was my personal favorite and it paired really well with the strawberry layer so I recommend sticking those next to each other.
Ripe strawberries and yogurt are all you need for the red layer! Easy, right?
These were all my pretty color layers, ready for the molds!
It’s a little messy, but just get the stuff in there. I like these flexible molds, but whatever you have will work! I like to do red-green-blue on mine.
I like the speckled fruit in these fruit popsicles and no extra sugar! Bonus!
