The perfect way to make a delicious warm cocktail with almost no work. Also makes great holiday gifts!
Ingredients
½cupunsalted butter
¼cupbrown sugar
1tablespoonvanilla extract
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonground nutmeg
½teaspoonground allspice
½teaspoonground cloves
For each Hot Buttered Rum:
1tablespoonspiced butter from above
2ouncesSpiced Rum
5ounceshot water
Instructions
Mash butter well with all the spices. It helps if the butter is room temperature. Transfer spiced butter mixture to an air-tight jar. Store in the fridge for 1-2 weeks.
To make a Hot Buttered Rum, add 1 tablespoon of the spiced butter to a mug with 2 ounces of spiced rum. Top off with 5 ounces hot water. Stir to melt butter and mix spices. Drink while warm!
