Spring Cookbook Week!

In the fall, I did my first cookbook week here on the blog and it was so much fun! I reviewed five new cookbooks, cooked stuff from each one, and gave away a bunch of copies.

Well, it turns out that there are plenty of new cookbooks this time of year and so I’m doing a spring version of cookbook week all next week on the blog! Five days, five cookbooks, five recipes, and five giveaways!

Here are my teasers for the books I’ll be giving away. See if you can guess any of them! In no particular order…

  • A book that dives deep into a specialized craft.
  • A crowd-sourced selection of excellent recipes.
  • A popular blogger with Indian roots and lots of deliciousness.
  • A book from one of my most favorite female chefs.
  • A book for Theo!

So, check back everyday next week for a chance to win!

The Links

Tomatillo Avocado Salsa – I love this switch on the classic guacamole. Bright green tomatillo salsa is my absolute favorite so I was happy to see these two things smashed together. (@ Creme de la Crumb)

Funfetti Cake – A cake that is so very packed with sprinkles. The post is a sad read, but uplifting at the same time. You know… what good writers do. (@ Crepes of Wrath)

Sweet Chili Sesame Chicken – I’ve tried to make sesame chicken like this once or twice and have always struggled getting the coating right. This looks pretty spot on though! (@ Love and Olive oil)

Hugh Acheson Makes Nachos – Okay… this new video series called “Real Chefs Cook Dumb Recipes” is getting some flak for being a bit mean, but I find it hilarious, especially if they make fun of super rich and famous people who decide to write a cookbook. I think the Khardasian clan can take a little poking fun. (@ Eater)

Have a great long weekend everybody! Check back tomorrow for a special post brought to you by a computer chef and don’t forget Monday is the start of Cookbook Week!
