Periscope TV

Periscope TV

Jump to Recipe

A few weeks ago I started experimenting with a new app called Periscope TV. The app is put out by Twitter, but allows live video streaming. It’s super-easy to use and kind of fun. I watched a few live streams and I like them because you can’t edit so you see people’s real reactions (good and bad).

I’m going to start doing occasional live Periscope sessions where I cook and chat about food. If you’re watching, the app gives you a way to write in questions or comments about what’s happening. It’s pretty cool!

On Monday at 1PM Eastern Time, I’m going to broadcast my first live Periscope TV steam that you can watch from your desktop or phone. What am I going to cook? Well, to be honest, I haven’t figured it out yet, but it’ll be something fast and seasonal for sure!

If you want to follow along or chat with me during the broadcast, you can search for me on the app. My user name is, shockingly, macheesmo. Also, if you follow me on Twitter, I’ll send out a few tweets with links to watch the broadcast from your computer!

The Links

Lots of fresh Spring links this week!

Kiwi Margaritas – I love the color on these and can see how the kiwi gives some nice sweetness to the margs. Sign me up for a pitcher of these. (@ How Sweet It Is)

Habanero Margaritas – Ok. One more margarita recipe. I couldn’t help myself because this one is super spicy which is up my alley. Habanero Margs?! Yes please. (@ Cake N Knife)

Grilled Veggie Salad with Farro – A good excuse to light up the grill! I think I got healthier just by reading this recipe! Love all the fresh flavors and the hearty grain salad! (@ Summer Tomato)

Crispy Avocado Fries – UGHHH… That’s roughly the sound my stomach made when I saw this recipe. Like, I need these pronto in my life. (@ Joy the Baker)

Have a great weekend everybody! If you need me, I’ll be smoking a pork shoulder.
