The Internet Kitchen: Vegas Baby

The Internet Kitchen: Vegas Baby

Jump to Recipe

I’m headed to Vegas this weekend for a bachelor party for a good friend. Conveniently, this is also the Final Four weekend for basketball so you better believe we will be watching those games!

I haven’t been to Vegas in a few years but I imagine not much has changed.

The most interesting and completely dorky thing we are planning is a poolside game of Settlers of Catan (with the expansion). This will absolutely ensure that all of the married dudes going will literally repulse any possible ladies.

Other than that I’m sure the weekend will include some gambling and poker and possibly, just possibly, a few beers.

The Links

Homemade Sriracha – A beautiful recipe and one that you might need to keep in your back pocket if you’re like me and going to go through withdrawals if there is ever a sriracha shortage. (@ Milk & Mode)

Cauliflower Puree – It’s like mashed potatoes but has a much more complicated taste. I’ve made a version of this before and it’s really good. I think I would serve a nice piece of grilled fish on top. (@ Recipe Girl)

Sprout Skillet Pizza – Someone asked me last weekend what I cook in my cast iron skillet and apart from saying everything, the first thing I said was killer pizza. Kind of like this one. (@ Love and Olive Oil)

How to Peel Garlic – This is an update to the “bowl method” of peeling garlic. I like it. I’m still not sure if it’s faster than just smashing them with a knife, but probably makes sense if you are peeling a bunch of cloves for something. (@ The Kitchn)

The Best Cake in The World – I had to laugh at this. I mean… how can you even begin to call something that? Anyway, there it is in all it’s glory. (@ Huffpost Taste)

Have a great weekend everybody! If you need me, I’ll be throwing those dice at a craps table somewhere.

  1. I’d recommend that you play the Seafarers expansion since it seems appropriate at a pool, but in my experience that’s a good way to ruin a night.
