Every year Betsy and I travel up to Wyoming to visit my family for at least a few days. This year we are going for almost a week.
It’s always an interesting trip for me, to go back to my hometown where I grew up. Sometimes I find myself in a random bar catching up with people I haven’t seen in many years and sometimes I do nothing but lay on the couch in my old living room and read. It can go either way, but it’s always something I look forward to.
This year we have a large number little ones in the house which I’m sure will be fun. Both of my step siblings have new babies and my sister has a few kids as well and we will all be under the same roof building gingerbread housing and causing chaos.
I’ll be posting a few things over the next few days, including a great brunch dish tomorrow and a fantastic holiday appetizer on Monday, but other than that I’ll be taking it easy.
If you’re traveling, I hope you get where you are going safely.
