Betsy and I are not always the best at trying out restaurants because, obviously, we cook a lot and eat most of our meals at home.
We rarely are the ones to find the newest greatest places and instead wait for the best restaurants to filter to the top. Then we check them out!
This weekend we finally snagged a reservation at Root Down which has been on our list for a while and then next weekend we have reservations at Old Major for our anniversary!
Sometimes it’s nice to get a break from the kitchen, especially if you know you will be in very good hands.
Chicken Soup with Shallot-Mushroom Matzo – Next week is the start of passover and if you are on the hunt for a great recipe, I’m not sure you could beat this one. It looks amazing! (@ The Kitchn)
Lemongrass Tofu Bowls – I love recipes like this. Great flavors with simple, clean preparation. I could see eating this for multiple meals. (@ Sprouted Kitchen)
Crackled Easter Eggs – I don’t really have a reason to dye easter eggs this year, but if I did, I would be doing this for a few of them. So cool! (@ Girl vs. Dough)
Cucumber Pea Salad – This recipe just screams spring to me. It’s bright green and super fresh. Love it. (@ No Recipes)
