This post brought to you by Sabra Dipping Co, LLC.. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been a long time proponent of homemade salad dressings. Many times I’ll tell people to just try out a simple oil and vinegar drizzle or just a squirt of lemon on their salads.

Some people need a more full-fledged dressing though.

Because hummus has a lot of ingredients in it that also work well in salad dressing, it’s the perfect launching pad for a killer recipe like this Hummus Salad Dressing.

I used Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus for my base recipe because I love the savory and slightly sweet roasted garlic flavor, but you could use any of Sabra’s many hummus flavors and end up with some really interesting dressings.

Hummus Salad Dressing

If you can read and stir things together, you can make this Hummus Salad Dressing happen. I would say the one ingredient that you might not have easily available is sesame oil. You could just leave it out but these days you should be able to find a small container of it at most grocery stores.

You don’t even need a food processor to mix this all together. Just measure out the ingredients in a medium bowl and stir it together!

To really emulsify the ingredients, it might help to whisk it for a few seconds.

Be sure to season the dressing with a big pinch of salt and pepper.

The finished Hummus Salad Dressing is the perfect consistency (in my opinion) for salad dressing. It’s pourable, but just lightly sits on the salad without being too heavy.

You can use this on pretty much any side salad under the sun or you could get creative with it and use it as a marinade for meats!

Personally, I just like it drizzled on fresh summer veggies.

The recipe actually makes a good-sized batch of Hummus Salad Dressing so be sure to store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. It should safely keep for a week or so in the fridge without any loss of flavor.

As with many homemade dressings, it might separate a bit as it sits so just give it a shake or stir before serving it if you’re using leftovers.

There’s absolutely no reason why you should be buying salad dressing when it’s this easy to make a super-delicious one in minutes.
