Food Fighters Season Two Casting!Jump to Recipe
If you were reading Macheesmo last summer, you might remember that I was a contestant on NBC’s cooking game show, Food Fighters. I posted some info about my episode before it aired and you can still watch a few clips of my episode on the NBC website (sound).
Well, good news! Food Fighters is casting now for a season two!
I thought I would let everyone know in case you happened to be watching me and thinking… hey! I can do that!
You can apply for season two on their casting website!
I applied for season one just by filling out the form. I didn’t know anybody and nobody contacted me through the blog or anything. I think I was also the only contestant to NOT go to a live interview in the first rounds (be ready for many, many rounds of interviews if you apply).
So that goes to show you that anybody can get on!
It’s a wild experience and super fun to hang out with Adam Richman and a few celebrity chefs for a day. (Plus, you can win some serious money and possibly a cake that you’ll never get!)
If you have a few good dishes and feel like you can cook under pressure, it can’t hurt to apply! GOOD LUCK!
A few links to get ya in the kitchen this weekend!
Silky Chocolate Pudding – Betsy and I crave pudding these days for some reason. Does pudding counteract sleep deprivation? After my big fat chocolate pudding homemade trial fail, I’m always looking for a good version. (@ The Bitten Word)
Whole Roasted Sesame Ginger Cauliflower – Here’s a promise. You’ll see some sort of whole roasted cauliflower on the blog in the next few weeks. I just can’t get over the color on this. It looks so good and I want to try my own twist on it. (@ The Endless Meal)
Cheesy Mexican Rigatoni Bake – These are all the things I love jam-smashed into one baking dish. I would make it for dinner but I’m not sure what everybody else would eat (high hat crash joke sound!) (@ Creme de la Crumb)
Apply for Food Fighters! While it’s a long shot, it would be awesome to see a Macheesmo reader on Season 2!
