Bircher Muesli

A classic overnight muesli topped with loads of fruit, nuts, and yogurt. Perfect for a healthy and filling breakfast!


100 g. (about 1 1/4 cups) rolled oats, not the instant kind
250ml (1 Cup) milk
50ml (1/4 Cup) cream
50g (1/2 Cup) raisins (I subbed dried figs for these guys)
1 apple, peeled and grated
1 banana, diced
1 orange, cut into segments
1/2 lemon, juice only
Sliced almonds (or other nut)
Honey, brown sugar, or agave syrup (some sort of sweetener)


1) Mix oats, raisins (or figs), milk, and cream in a bowl, cover, and store in the fridge overnight.

2) The next morning, prep the fruit.  Dice the banana, peel the orange and dice the segments, peel the apple and grate it.

3) Mix the fruit with lemon juice.

4) Serve muesli with fruit topping, yogurt, chopped nuts, and some sort of sweetener.
