Around the Internet Kitchen: Hotlanta!

Around the Internet Kitchen: Hotlanta!

Jump to Recipe

This weekend I’m traveling to Atlanta for a conference for work. Unfortunately I won’t get a lot of free time while I’m there but I do get to eat at some really awesome restaurants that are cooking great stuff (Miller Union and Woodfire Grill).

It’s sometimes a struggle to eat well while traveling. I usually feel like I’ve gained about 5 pounds when I get home from a longer trip. Luckily one of my coworkers is training for a marathon so I told her I’d meet her for the last few miles of her insanely long runs over the weekend. That way I get a bit of exercise anyway.

No poll this weekend because I’m not going to have much time to cook!

Some links though!

A Menu for the Jewish New Year – Ok… so this is technically a day late as Rosh Hashanah was yesterday, but it’s still an awesome post and there’s tons of good recipes in it if you want to make some really great food over the weekend. (@ Not Derby Pie)

Lunch at McDonalds – I haven’t actually eaten at a McDonalds in quite some time, but I used to go there all the time when I was growing up. I guess that’s why this post really hit home for me. I’m pretty sure that this would be my exact experience if I were to go to McDonalds for lunch today, which for the record, is not all negative. (@ Amateur Gourmet)

50 Fall Recipes – A simple but great round-up of some recipes to get us going in Fall. And yes. You read that correctly. It’s Fall already. (@ Brown Eyed Baker)

Garlic Knots – This post might get my “Most Genius” award for the day. Baking fresh knots of bread and tossing them in garlic butter? I’d eat my weight in these guys. (@ White on Rice Couple)

Cheesesteak Fries – If the garlic knots get my “Most Genius” award then this idea gets my “Frankenstein” award. It’s kind of a crazy idea, but heck. I’d eat them in a Philadelphia second. (@ RIVAL TFIMB)

Have a great weekend everybody!
