6 Months!

6 Months!

Jump to Recipe

Today is Baby T’s six month birthday which is kind of crazy because, as my wife said recently, “We now have a six-month old baby.”

The dude is healthy and happy and is so sick of being a baby who can’t go wherever he wants. He spends most of his waking hours trying to move to some other place where he is not. Options for movement right now include:

  • Rolling and hopefully ending up closer to goal.
  • Sticking butt in the air and using momentum to shove forward, inch by inch.
  • Grabbing onto Porter’s tail as he runs by and hitching a ride. (This actually happens)

All of these methods are fairly inefficient and so I suspect the dude will be crawling sooner rather than later. My bet is that he is up and moving in the next 6 weeks which is way too soon.

But check out those guns?! That’s some American muscle right there.

The Links

Camping Breakfast Sandwiches – Bets and I are missing out on camping season this year. Just too much else going on and we are mildly concerned about our ability to camp happily with a baby. But these sandwiches will be featured the next time we do some camping! (@ Recipe Girl)

3 Ingredient Ranch Potatoes – I dig fast grilled potato recipes. This one is super-easy and looks perfect for a summer side. Skewer some potatoes and get to grilling! (@ Creme de la Crumb)

Faux Gras – This is such a smart and amazing twist on the classic French spread. I can just imagine how savory and flavorful it is on a good baguette. Definitely on my list to try! (@ David Lebovitz)

Avocado Fries Two Ways – Spoiler alert: The two ways are baked and fried and both look amazing. (@ A Brown Table)

Have a happy July weekend everybody!

  1. T is cute and sure seems to look a lot like you! You certainly have your work cut out for you for the next, oh all the years ahead. Our son is 24 now and believe me it is just so great to be able to sit down with him and talk about everything.
