The Internet Kitchen: Front Range Hike!
Bets and I are finally feeling very settled in our Denver home so we are going out to explore the surrounding area a bit this weekend. Tomorrow we are headed to Boulder for the farmer’s market there (which I’m sure will be amazing) followed by brunch somewhere. On Sunday, we are packing up the pooch and going on our first hike on the Front Range.
The only downside to Denver is that you have to drive a bit further to get out of the city than in Grand Junction. We are going to head up to the Estes Park area though and try to hike up to a mountain lake or something. Excited to get outside and get some exercise this weekend.
Chocolate and Sea Salt Popcorn – I go through serious popcorn phases. Sometimes I’ll make it multiple times a week and when I’m in one of those phases I sometimes like to fancy up the stuff. This is right up my alley. (@ Ezra Pound Cake)
Grilled Veggie Fajitas – These seem simple but I bet they pack in the flavor. It’s the perfect recipe to remind everyone that meals don’t need to be complicated to be delicious. Grill some veggies, stuff them in a tortilla, eat. (@ A Couple of Cooks)
How to Freeze Eggs – I actually rarely have eggs that I need to freeze, but I can see freezing egg whites and yolks because I frequently need one or the other but not both! Great tip. (@ Cupcake Project)
