The Internet Kitchen: Back on the Bike
One of the worst things about tearing my ACL six months ago (aside from the pain) was that I couldn’t ride my mountain bike any more!
I was finally getting decent at navigating some of the local trails and then I had to sit out the whole summer season because of the knee.
But this weekend, I’m back in action. I did some short and simple trails two week ago and now I’m ready to kick it up a notch. I’m going to be doing the trail pictured on the right this weekend.
Wish me luck!
One of my best friends who happens to be a vegetarian is visiting me this week so let’s cook something veggie friendly in his honor.
Homemade Salt Water Taffy – This is one of those things that I just never even thought about making at home. I’m sure it’s delicious, but it also looks really fun. (@ Cupcake Project)
Chocolate Raspberry Torte – This is my kind of food porn. I mean, in reality, there’s just no way I’m ever going to make this, but I sure do like looking at it. (@ Sprinkle Bakes)
Homemade Ricotta – I think this looks sort of similar to the homemade cheese I made last week, but with lots of different applications. Looks great! (@ Sticky Gooey Creamy Chewy)
Tofu Avocado Salad – This looks really refreshing to me. I especially enjoy the generous handful of cilantro! (@ PBS Food)
Connect with me!
Throughout the week I love chatting with people and sharing fun and interesting stuff around the web. I’m fairly active on a few different places:

- Like Macheesmo on Facebook.
- Add Me to a Google+ circle.
- macheesmo on Instagram.
And, of course, you can always subscribe to Macheesmo via the feed or via email!
Have a great weekend everybody! If you need me, I’ll probably be driving!
