The Internet Kitchen: NYC!

by Nick

This weekend Betsy and I are taking our annual pilgrimage to the East Coast. We are mainly going for a wedding, but are taking the opportunity to hang out in New York for a few days also.

We don’t really have any places picked out to eat because we have a bunch of friends who live in the city so we’re hoping that knowledgable New Yorkers will guide us to good eats.

I believe some pizza and beer will be in our future though and I don’t need much more to be content.

The Poll

No poll this week, folks, due to the fact that United has yet to install workable kitchens on their planes. One of these days I’ll be able to cook and fly!

The Links

100 Ways to Cook with BBQ - If you’re like me, you have a few spare bottles of random BBQ sauce in the pantry. Here’s some inspiration to put them to use this summer. (@ Endless Simmer)

Korean-style Grilled Beef - Betsy and I recently discovered a little Korean place in our small Colorado town. It’s in a strip mall so you know it’s legit. A dish similar to this is our favorite on the menu. (@ No Recipes)

Game of Thrones Cake Pops - I’m currently trying to read this series. I’m on book four and I’m starting to wish that Mr. Martin would hurry the hell up with getting to the part about dragons. (@ Not Your Momma’s Cookie)

Ratatouille Barley Salad - Betsy and I are always looking for good lunch salads to make and I bookmarked this bad boy this week. Also, this blog has a new cookbook out that looks good. I haven’t actually gotten my hands on a copy yet, but I’m sure it is wonderful. (@ Sprouted Kitchen)
