The Internet Kitchen: Busted!

by Nick

A few days ago I completely twisted my knee playing basketball.  I knew it was bad when I felt a pop…

After icing it and taking lots of Advil it feels okay as long as I’m not walking on it, but the exact diagnosis is still out from the doctors.

The doctor I saw yesterday had quite the sense of humor.  After he pulled and pushed on my leg for a while and muttered a few things in “doctor-speak”, I asked him what he thought it might be.

Totally straight-faced he says:

I think your knee is messed up!

Fair enough!

As you are reading this I’m probably stuck in a metal tube getting an MRI which will hopefully reveal that I don’t need major surgery.

Anyway, trying to keep a positive attitude about it.

The Poll

The Links

Chorizo Stuffed Jalapenos - This is an awesome twist on jalapeno poppers basically.  I can imagine blowing through a few trays of these during March Madness in a few weeks. (@ Milk & Mode)

Kimchi Chicken Wings - I love chicken wings.  Definitely one of my favorite appetizers.  I’ve absolutely never thought to put one of my favorite condiments (kimchi) on them until now. (@ The Food in My Beard)

Homemade Soy Milk - OK.  So you need a pretty fancy blender to really make this work, but it’s a great read and looks delicious!  (@ Tiny Urban Kitchen)

Braided Roasted Red Pepper Bread - What is this creation?!  I can imagine this toasted with some honey or butter on it.  I absolutely love the color!  (@ Erin Cooks)

Huevos MotulenosI’m a sucker for any Mexican dish, especially if it’s got eggs on it.  I want this immediately.  (@ Simply Recipes)
