The Internet Kitchen: The Bells

Betsy and I are doing some hiking this weekend with Porter the Wonderdoodle. We decided to take a short trip over to the Maroon Bells also known as “The Most Photographed Spot in Colorado.”

I don’t think we’ll do a very intense hike just because Porter gets pretty tired after three or four miles. This may be because while we walk 3 miles, he runs circles around us and probably covers more like 9 miles.

Getting out for a hike on a Saturday morning is one of my favorite parts of living in Colorado so far. It’s a great way to kind of decompress from the week and get some exercise.

The local butcher I have here carries a lot of wild game.

I want to cook some up this week. You pick though.

Making Steak Tartare – One of Betsy’s favorite appetizers is steak tartare. Some people are pretty freaked out by the idea of ordering what is essentially raw beef, but if it’s prepared correctly with quality ingredients, it’s perfectly safe.
