I had tried a recipe out of a cookbook for these first, and they wound up looking like ant mounds, and tasting pretty bland. I decided (since these were supposed to be a gift for someone who's favorite cookie is a snickerdoodle) to give this recipe a try before I gave away my bland version. I am very pleased with the results. Like I said once before, these are FABULOUS!! I had never tried a snickerdoodle before and after my first attempt I decided I didn't like them, but Aunt Judy's way is great! These were absolutely fantastic.
