David Wolfe is a major douche!
Here's a verbatim account from one of his YouTube videos:
"Wild vegetables are much too powerful to eat in that quantity"
"When you chew vegetables, you produce as much as 4 times serotonin than you do in your normal waking state. So the natural de-stressor is to chew vegetables. That's a really good way to deal with stress. The chewing effect causes us to become less stressed."

Interviewer: "So your ideal diet is a liquid diet?"

DW: "My ideal diet is a liquid diet, but occasionally I have a small salad of wild herbs. That's kind of how I live."

Interviewer: "Yeah, but then you don't chew"
DW: "Well, I chew that little salad of herbs"

okay, I would actually be interested to at least read some of what this guy has to say in the interest of being as healthy as I can be. That said, based solely on the picture that he approved to go on the cover of his book, I can say with absolute certainty that this guy is a super douche, plain and simple.

Nice fry party - it's serious when you bring in the propane and turkey fryer.

My humble opinion is that the whole idea of "superfoods" is complete crap. Every whole food will be called a superfood at one point or another, because some new study will come out claiming that something in it can make mice have better _________, and this food has lots of it! If that was a good way of judging the health value of foods, vitamin supplements would actually help us be healthier. But they don't.

The rule of thumb I usually go with is: fruits and vegetables are healthy.

I myself have been doing a lot of research into superfoods and playing with incorporating them into my diet. My opinion is that yeah, I'm not going to go totally raw with my diet, BUT I can utilize goji berries, raw cashew, coconut oil in my cooking, i.e. on top of salads or oatmeal... stuff like that. I also buy them from an online discount store so I get a pretty good deal (better that at Whole Foods). I do notice quite a difference overall in how I feel and how my body functions when I eat more raw foods and I do think that there is a lot to be said about the role that our food plays in our overall health.

Thanks for the review!
