  1. Thanks for the mention and lots more great ideas!

  2. Hi,

I like the sound of a bbq on Fathers Day, the only worry would be if the weather turned and we had rain. I will definitely think about having a bbq though, so thanks for the suggestion. Not sure what I am going to buy him this year, maybe my sisters and I can club together and buy him a track day which I know he will love! At least I have the card already sorted so that’s one less thing to worry about. This year I am going to be sending Dad an eCard rather than a paper card. He loves his computer, so I am sure that he will appreciate it. I was on the net and came across a cool Fathers Day eCard site that I quite like. Up until now I had not sent an ecard before, but this site made it real simple. Hope this is helpful?

  3. My husband and I knew we were soul mates when we figured out that we both abhor watermelon, or any kind of melon for that matter. I don’t understand it, everyone thinks we are weird, but I’m just going to go with it. We’ll stick to the blueberries, squash, and tomatoes… Still waiting on our local farmer’s market to bring on the tomatoes.

  4. I had never heard of pickled watermelon rind either until I moved to South Dakota. They have it all the time here!! Through out the summer it is at every picnic and pot luck. I am not a fan of watermelon so I have never tired the rind. People in the Dakota’s love pickling various foods.
