Dearest Citizen,

First off, you are welcome for the party. Second, you are correct, I am a bourbon man. Sure I may dabble in the scotches and whiskeys that our great nation has to offer on occasion but bourbon is my mainstay. A true American spirit. As I love my wife, I will offer to make her a Macheesmo-style Old Fashioned but I have to warn you, she likes bourbon straight up, neat.

I will do my best for you over the next four years and I hope to continue gaining valuable insight into the world of food via your blog. Yes we can... find something that my wife can cook.

Truly yours,

B. Obama, Esq.
